Following in the grand tradition of birthday's this year in our family (you may remember Luis' birthday month,) Taye had 2 parties for his third birthday. On his actual birthday, Daddy took work off so we could all spend the day together. We went to Toys 'R' Us because Taye is a member of their birthday club (only the coolest kids can join) and they said he would get a gift certificate. Apparently, it was supposed to be mailed to him, but he never got it. They did give him a balloon, and a super-cool crown. And we still let him pick out a small toy (2 Matchbox cars - who could have guessed?)
When we got home, it was time to bake the cake.
For dinner we went to Boston Market, since the baby really felt like s/he needed rotisserie chicken. :o) As soon as Nana came home, Taye opened presents:

Mystery solved, he really didn't like his gifts. :o)
Saturday, as you may remember, was his big party. It seemed to be a hit, I know we all had a lot of fun. Abby was the life of the party:
I have no present opening pictures, as Taye preferred to just open them all as they came through the door. But the cake was good:
And the pinata was a 'hit' (haha - stop laughing!)
The muddy backyard was the most fun of all, but I don't have any pictures of that either - sorry!
