What a day

Yesterday was an incredibly fun day at our house. Everyone was happy, and we found ways to enjoy every minute of the day.

Taye opened the fridge in the morning on his hunt for breakfast and when he saw the big bowl of boiled eggs, he exclaimed "a nest!" After breakfast, we spent the morning at the house, practicing new acts for our future traveling family circus. Rehearsals went well, no injuries to report (well, not serious ones anyway).

The blocks have recentlt been played with a lot, yesterday was no exception. Taye built his very own Batman.

Taye thought that a picnic lunch would be a good idea. It was a bit early, so they settled for a picnic snack instead.

Mya didn't really eat the popcorn, she just can't turn down a photo op.

After lunch, I was done with being in the house. It was reasonably warm out, and we decided to take a trip to the playground. We were there for over an hour, it felt great to be out.

The boys have been very interested in hockey lately. Luis learned about a place in town where the local teams play. We drove over after the playground and found out what time the game started. After dinner we headed over. The boys were much more interested in running around on the bleachers, but at least they had fun.

After the game it was home for bed, then Luis and I had our Netflix date night. We watched a heartwrenchingly depressing movie about some guy dying. Yay!
