Lupa Zoo

Last weekend we met Krissy, Aine, and Joanine at Lupa Zoo. The boys were so excited, and we had a great time.

How I wish I had been in on this conversation:

The zoo was a lot bigger than it seemed from the outside. The animals were fun to see:

We had to laugh at the "Do not feed the bears anything but bear food" sign, in front of the platform full of watermelon, grapes, celery, lettuce, and...donuts! About a dozen, even chocolate. No wonder the poor thing looked bloated. We couldn't help but wonder what exactly is not bear food.

In addition to the real animals, this zoo had tons of animal statues and cutouts to play with.

Of course, the kids all had to ride on every single one. I think they had more fun with the fake animals than they did with the real ones.

Even at the playground:

While we walked around, Aine picked flowers for everyone.

After a couple hours, we took a break for lunch:

When we were finished, we went back inside for more fun. There were puddles to splash in,

and swings to swing on,

but, by far the most fun was tossing rocks into the sewers.
