Darius' Birthday

We celebrated Darius' birthday as a family on Saturday. When he got up, he saw the aquarium we set up the night before. It was our gift to him. After lunch, we went to see Toy Story 3 (which we've only been waiting about a year to see) and then went to Petco. He picked out some plants, a bubbling treasure chest and 4 fish. We had planned on a few more, but apparently you need a degree to own fish now, it seemed most of the ones he picked were not compatible, or we need to wait a month or so to let the algae build up before adding them. We're planning to go back next month for an aquatic frog, and maybe a couple more fish. As it is now, the fish are a hit. He chose 2 orange ones which he named Mario and Luigi. He also chose 2 silver ones with black stripes. The bigger one is Princess Peach, and the smaller one is Toad. A definite theme.


When we got home, we had a picnic dinner in the yard and broke in Daddy's fireplace with a fire and some marshmallows.
