A first

The morning of Darius' party, Kathy called to let us know they would not be able to make it. Keyeanna had fallen the night before and broke her arm. The boys and I decided to make her a get-well card and put together some goodies for her. I asked Taye if he wanted to draw something in the card, and he said 'no, just write my name.' So I handed him the marker and pen, and watch as he did this:

This was the first time he wrote his name (and I had to give it away!) I was very impressed, and so was he. A few minutes later he decided to make Darius a birthday card too. He had me write Darius' name, and then he wrote his own. So, at least I get to keep the second copy. :o)
